Northwest Swing, part of the Boeing Employees' Concert Band, is an all-volunteer 20-piece big band dedicated to the fun of jazz. We strive to bring enjoyment through music to all those around us. Our repertoire includes everything from swing classics such as Jersey Bounce, Hay Burner, and String of Pearls, to up-beat swing pieces from Charles Mingus, to standards from Miles Davis, Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, and more.

Our Story

The Northwest Swing big band in Seattle, WA was formed out of the collective desires of members of the Boeing Employees Concert Band and Jazz Night School to get together, play jazz, and have fun. And we're doing just that!

We're a community-lead traditional big band swing ensemble within the larger Boeing Employees Concert Band. Directed by Cory Maccarrone, our primary goal is having fun with jazz and spreading that fun to the community at large. Our members are a highly diverse group ranging from students to seasoned jazz musicians from all over the greater Seattle area.
